Holland America Announces 2027-28 Australia, New Zealand Season – Cruise Industry News

From September 2027 through March 2028, three of Holland America Line’s ships will offer cruises through Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, the company announced in a press release.

The season introduces longer cruises, including itineraries of 14 to 35 days, promising immersive explorations of the region.

“Whether guests want to experience the awe-inspiring beauty of Milford Sound, the crystal-clear waters of Fiji and the South Pacific, or encounter the region’s iconic wildlife, we’ve designed this season to deliver the authentic experiences travelers are looking for,” said Paul Grigsby, vice president of deployment and revenue planning.

Three overnight stays have also been included at three different ports, Melbourne, Cairns and Lautoka.

“We’ve also added time for guests to linger longer with new overnight stays in Melbourne, Cairns, and Lautoka — joining a growing list of ports in the region where we extend the experience beyond a single day,” said Grigsby.

Among the extended journeys, the Westerdam’s 26-day “Australia, Coral Sea, & Fiji Legendary Voyage” departing January 4, 2028, will visit 14 ports across Tonga, Fiji, and Vanuatu..

Another itinerary highlight is the Zaandam 35-day “Hawaii, Tahiti & Marquesas Legendary Voyage,” departing October 14, 2027, or February 19, 2028. The former offers 13 port visits, including a late-night departure from Bora Bora and overnights in Tahiti, Hawaii, Honolulu, and Papeete. The latter provides stops at 10 ports, including a combined overnight and late-night departure in Papeete and visits to Raiatea and Moorea.

Other notable voyages include Westerdam’s September 19, 2027, 34-day “Legendary South Pacific Crossing,” and the December 19, 2027, 16-day “South Australia Discovery Holiday” voyage. Guests can also choose between the multi-date 14-day “Australia & New Zealand” cruise and the February 13, 2028, round-trip 14-day “New Zealand Discovery” voyage.
